Our pre-production and post production expertise ensure smooth, professional and fun photoshoots. When you hire us you can feel confident that you have made the right choice. We know how to photograph a variety of headshot styles from a corporate white background headshot to lifestyle personal branding environmental portraits.
Editing: We make sure the skin tones look accurate rather than blue (cool) or green skin tones that are seen often in amateur photography. Even during the winter we can warm up your skin tone and give you a healthy glow that is not over done. Editing is not retouching.
Retouching: We believe that retouching should look natural and not over done, we aim to make you look well rested, lighten your teeth but not glowing white and fake. We retouch the stray hairs (hair strands that are out of place are always there)
Session details:
Jamil utilizes her background as a former high fashion model to direct people how to pose in a natural yet flattering way. You’ll be able to see your images from your photoshoot appear on our Ipad instead of having to look at a small display on the back of our camera.
We sync our Ipad wirelessly to our Canon camera so you may view them during the photoshoot, our clients love this and so do we! How many times have you thought, I like that shot but my hair needed to be smoothed or bring more hair to the front? Viewing the images as we photograph you allows to make any adjustments necessary from changing your expression, your hair, clothing or adjusting the lighting.
Jamil Shoemaker Gotcher is the only Tulsa, Oklahoma area photographer that has firsthand international high fashion modeling career and photoshoot experience. Having modeled in every major fashion market, New York, Paris, Milan, London, Tokyo, Hamburg and even second tier fashion industry markets like Dallas and Chicago for clients such as Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. Professional models are not just pretty, they need modeling skills! Jamil's Father, John Shoemaker is a long time commercial photographer in Tulsa and would land Jamil modeling jobs by modeling for his commercial photoshoots. Those first modeling jobs made Jamil confident in her modeling skills and her professional photographer Dad's portfolio pictures got her signed with Elite Agency New York. Jamil and her daughter Jade realized they could utilize their expertise at modeling to help models in Tulsa become professional models and by teaching them how move in front of the camera for a professional photoshoot where the model is getting paid for the job.

Jamil Gotcher's background as a former international high fashion model has given her firsthand international, national, regional and local fashion modeling career experience to help models, even those that are agency signed with creating model portfolio images that give them the edge needed to succeed in modeling the way Jamil and her daughter Jade Gotcher did. Jamil has applied the same work ethic that produced an international modeling career into her photography career.
